The Counselling Team is made up of several counsellors from a range of professional disciplines who offer individual and group counselling and family counselling for people who live in the Shire of Moorabool and City of Melton. In the community setting, Counsellors work with individuals, families and groups to assist them in the resolution of presenting issues. Our staff have specialist counselling expertise in the areas of family violence, grief and loss, family work, youth counselling as well as personal life issues. Community education and consultancy are also offered, for example DjHS counsellors work with a number of schools in the local area. Enquiries, bookings for assessments for all counselling services are provided through the Referral and Appointment Service.
All residents of the City of Melton and Moorabool Shire, including those that work or attend school in Melton or Moorabool.
|Access hours||Monday - Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm, by appointment only. Limited after hours appointments are also available.|

Clients requesting counselling or organisations enquiring about or wishing to make a referral should contact the Referral and Appointment Service. Self-referral or from General Practitioner and other professionals/organisations.

Pension or Health Care Card holders pay a reduced fee.Some Counselling Programmes are no cost to the client; For those Counselling programmes where a fee applies,Clients who do not hold a pension or Health Care card must complete an income self declaration form to determine fee payable and are charged in line with the Department of Health Primary Health Programs Fee Policy.
