About the Car Show
What’s it all about?
Djerriwarrh Health Services (DjHS) delivers public healthcare to residents living in one of the Australia's largest growing urban corridors. Based 45 kms west of Melbourne, our region is about halfway between Melbourne CBD and Ballarat with our clients living between Caroline Springs and Bacchus Marsh. The Car Show is an important annual event as it promotes awareness of the health services available to a new and growing community throughout Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Caroline Springs and generates funds for much needed medical equipment.
How it began!
It all started through the kind family of a long time benefactor, Mr David Calleja. David was an influential business man with significant pride in his local community. After his untimely death in late 2004, the family decided that it would be his wish to continue assisting the health service he supported and attended. David was an avid car collector and had a significant stable of rare and unique cars which the family provided as an initial attraction for a fund raising memorial car show which then occurred in January 2006.
