Bacchus Marsh -Creating a Dementia Friendly Community
A dementia-friendly community is a place in which people living with dementia are supported to live a high quality of life with meaning, purpose and value. We want to find out how dementia friendly Bacchus Marsh and the surrounding area is and what could be done to make it more dementia friendly. With the support of the community people with dementia can continue to do many of the things they love. The information from this survey will be used to make Bacchus Marsh more dementia-friendly
Dementia Australia is starting a social revolution by asking as many people as possible to sign up to becoming a dementia friend. The online training consists of 3 modules that take about 5 minutes each. For more information about this initiative please look at the website email@example.com.
To further support this work we are undertaking 2 surveys.
1. Dementia friendly community survey- to find out what people with dementia do in Bacchus Marsh, what facilities they use and what helps or hinders them. To complete this survey please go to link (link is external).
2. Survey for Bacchus Marsh local business- Help identify businesses that want to be more dementia friendly and those wanting to be involved in the Bacchus Marsh Dementia alliance. To complete the Local Business survey - link
