Djerriwarrh Health Services to amalgamate with Western Health

Western Health and Djerriwarrh Health Services have welcomed the Victorian Government’s approval of the voluntary amalgamation of the two health services.

From July 1, Djerriwarrh Health Services’ staff and facilities – including the Bacchus Marsh and Melton Regional Hospital, Melton Health, Grant Lodge aged care and Community Health Centres in Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Caroline Springs – will join the Western Health network.

Western Health is one of three Melbourne metropolitan health services to manage a COVID vaccination hub. This Hub will work directly with Djerriwarrh Health Services and the community within the Western metropolitan region of Melbourne to ensure vaccine is offered to high-risk, priority people as soon as it is available.

Djerriwarrh Health Services is offering the best care to all our patients. Telehealth offers the ability to access specialist care from the comfort of your own home. It links you and your clinician by an audio and video connection using your computer, smart phone or tablet.

The maternity support line established in October 2015 to assist women and families who may have been affected by events at the Djerriwarrh Health Services Maternity Service (Bacchus Marsh) has now been discontinued. However, alternatives to the support line are still available.
