Djerriwarrh Health Services has expanded the range of cancer services now available at Djerriwarrh Health, as a result of a recent collaboration between Djerriwarrh and Western Health.
Additional services are now available to patients attending Melton including:
- Expansion of cancer services clinics at Djerriwarrh (Melton Health) - Medical oncology and Haematology
- Access to multi-disciplinary care planning through the expertise of the Western Health specialist tumour streams (Haematology, Lung, Breast, Colorectal, Gynae/GU, Upper GI MDMs)
- Access to specialist Symptom Management Assessment and Referral (SMART) clinic, for management of complex symptoms in cancer patients, staffed by specialist palliative care physicians and medical oncologists
- Direct access to Western Health/Peter Mac radiation oncology specialist treatment planning, via tumour stream MDMs
- Out of hours/emergency and inpatient care of Djerriwarrh patients, via Western Health cancer services
