The Dietetic Service provides individual and group education for adults and children. All requests and referrals for information and consultation should be directed to the Referral and Appointment Service.
Community Education, Health Promotion and Health screenings are offered through community groups, schools and the media. Focus is given to Government Health Promotion weeks and expressed community need.
All age groups are catered for and key areas of work include clients with diabetes and heart disease, weight management, gastrointestinal disorders, appetite awareness and body image, and general healthy eating.A child and adolescent weight management clinic called ‘Ready Steady Go’ is available at Melton Health (see Paediatric Program).

|Access hours||Monday - Friday - 9.00 a.m - 5.00 p.m.|
|Referral process|| |
Community Health referrals: Self referral, General Practitioners, Medical Specialists, other health professionals or carers can refer.Melton Health: A GP referral is required.
|Cost to client|| |
Pension or Health Care Card holders pay a reduced fee.
Clients who do not hold a pension or Health Care card must complete an income self declaration form to determine fee payable and are charged in line with the Department of Health Primary Health Programs Fee Policy.Melton Health – Bulk billed
