Earth moving works underway
Earth moving machinery commenced operating on the Melton Health & Community Services site on Thursday 23rd February. Site offices and perimeter fences have been erected. The earth moving works will continue over the next 3 weeks.
There will be regular updates on the project as the works progress.
Official sod turning of the new $21 million Melton Health and Community Services project
Minister for Health Jill Hennessy today turned the first sod on construction works for the $21 million Melton Health and Community Services facility on Barries Road, Melton.
Melton Health and Community Services will be a new facility aimed at strengthening access to health, well-being and community services in Melton. The hub will bring together services from Djerriwarrh Health Services, Melbourne Health-Midwest Area Mental Health Service, MacKillop Family Services, cohealth and Odyssey House Victoria.
Djerriwarrh Health Services will be the lead tenant at the new centre and once completed, it will provide a range of adult health, children and family services, alcohol and drug support and aboriginal health services.

Improving access to health & community services in Melton
A new integrated health and community services facility is under construction at 195-209 Barries Rd, Melton West. Once completed in 2018, services will be provided by Djerriwarrh Health Services, MacKillop Family Services, Odyssey House Victoria, Melbourne Health-MidWest Area Mental Health Service and cohealth.

Sewer diversion works
Sewer diversion works will take place on site during November and December 2016
The existing sewer will be relocated to allow the new facility to be built.
No interruption to the sewage system is anticipated.
